We are approaching the end of the first quarter, and we already have a lot to celebrate here at Hendersonville Middle School. All of our students are making good progress; if you walk down our hallways, you will see outstanding student work and projects on display. Several bulletin boards host hundreds of reading recommendations by students for students.
Many of our students are participating in peer tutoring programs here and at neighboring schools. Not only do the students being tutored benefit, but the students providing tutoring gain confidence and a strong sense of satisfaction from serving others.
Our athletic teams have had a very successful fall season! While we enjoy winning, we also value sportsmanship and teamwork, and our coaches and fans remark frequently about the character of our athletes.
Our fine arts program is a source of pride for HMS; our strings, choral, and band programs provide great opportunities for our students, and the art and drama classes are the best part of school for many students.
